Stop the Party

Suddenly my life has turned chaotic.  This is mostly due to my ever-pressing thoughts that seem to lead to self destruction.  Nothing “feels right” anymore.  Just saying that last sentence makes me sound desperate and confused, which I probably am currently. 

I can’t even find the words to write this pathetic complaint.

“Woe is me”

1. Contradiction

2. Uncertainty

3. Depression

4. Loneliness

5. Utter Bitchiness

All with a side of “What’s to come?”

Today while working I was coming up the stairs from the basement when a middle-aged man was staring at me. (awkward) He then said something that I didn’t understand, so I said, “What?” in a really sincere tone.  He asked, “Has anyone told you that you are beautiful today?”.  I said, “No, thank you.” 

As out of left field as this was it totally made me blush.  Thank you sweet middle-aged man for your lovely comment.  Go ahead and check my Ego Bank account haters, I think it just gained some interest.

There isn’t anything like a new prescription to reassure me of the fact that I am indeed not helpless.

I think I need some major changes in my life.  I feel like I can see the general direction my life is heading, and I don’t want that, that is far too boring.  I just need something/someone new.

Now that it is summer, I find myself watching obscene amounts of television.  Some would argue that there aren’t any good shows on during the summer lineup.  I disagree.  Some favorites (new and re-run) are:

N.C.I.S.—I can watch this for hours, literally

Law & Order: SVU—same goes for this gem, although I sometimes have nightmares if I watch too much

So You Think You Can Dance—I know I can’t dance, but dance vicariously through the lovable and sometimes adorable dancers who are in this years top 11

Work of Art:The Next Great Artist—Yeah, another Bravo reality show, I know…but I love it, even though I don’t agree with the judges all that often

Kathy Griffin’s My Life on the D List—always makes me laugh. Love her.

Next Food Network Star—as an avid Food Network fan, I love this show and like to get some back story on the latest star-to-be
